Well there’s clearly NO stopping me.
First day of school was this week, and it was the first day of over 90 degree weather we’ve had ALL summer! Of course this was the day I rode the school bus (unairconditioned) with Noah, on his first day of kindergarten. And sat in a basement assembly room (unairconditioned) to listen to our wonderful principal welcome us to school. And then rode the same bus home (see above).
So while milk and cookies came to mind as a timely afternoon treat, a frozen version sounded even better!
I daresay that this is one of my very favorites of the entire series, and were ridiculously easy to boot.
Now what to do for day two……..
from Eugenie Kitchen
1 1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. heavy cream
2 T. sugar
18 Oreos, divided
Place the milk, heavy cream, sugar and 8 of the Oreos into a blender. Blend for 20 seconds.
Put a whole Oreo into the bottoms of your popsicle molds. Fill with the blended mixture and freeze for 30-45 minutes or till slushy. Add sticks and freeze overnight.
To release the pops, hold molds briefly under hot water.
