I LOVE LOVE LOVE these easy holiday sugar scrubs!
Sugar scrubs are the PERFECT last minute gift – and frankly, the perfect year round gift, in my opinion. You only need a few simple ingredients and about 10 minutes!
This is an easy, easy gift that even the kiddos can help make, and it’s the perfect solution for any challenges on your gift list. It’s gender neutral, won’t impact any dietary or allergy restrictions and is economical too!
I took my cue from two popular holiday cookies – gingerbread and snickerdoodle – but you can obviously substitute whatever oils/spices you love (or are loved by the recipient)!
And how cute are these jars? I love the simplicity and the bamboo lids. Each recipe makes enough for two jars, but scales beautifully so you can easily double or triple!
1/2 cup refined coconut oil
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
20 drops cinnamon bark essential oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
5 drops orange essential oil
2 drops ginger essential oil
Snickerdoodle Sugar Scrub
1/2 cup refined coconut oil
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
Melt the coconut oil and cool to room temperature. Add the sugar and mix well. Add your remaining ingredients and mix again. Let sit until the scrub cools completely as the coconut oil will re-solidify and make the scrub feel less greasy. Transfer to your jars or containers and store covered, at room temperature.
To use: massage into damp skin and rinse off using warm water.
