For my last “homemade holiday”, I have another scrub for you.
And it’s just as easy as the last one!
But while that last one was more of a spring/summer scrub, this one has winter written all over it.
Brown sugar.
Vanilla.
And a bit of cinnamon essential oil.
This DELICIOUS smelling scrub whips up in less than 5 minutes and can be scaled up – based on your gift list and the size of your jars – very easily.
Which is great, because you are definitely going to want to filch some for yourself come these long, cold winter months.
SHOP THE POST!
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup refined coconut oil (I use refined to eliminate the coconut smell)
2 – 3 teaspoons vanilla
10 – 20 drops cinnamon essential oil
clean jars, ribbon or twine, tags, little spoons
Mix all of the ingredients together in a medium bowl – transfer to your clean jars and seal (will keep for up to 3 months).

Hi! I'm Sheri!
Welcome to my little corner of the web where you’ll find easy, delicious recipes, the best kitchen hacks and simple tips for turning your home into a clean haven that is free of toxins. So glad you’re here!
Those little wood spoons are the cutest touch! I’m doing all homemade gifts this year. I made some bath salts yesterday and am making body butter tomorrow! This sugar scrub would be nice, too, if I have the time!
Thank you so much! How does one make body butter????
Those are the cutest spoons – where did you get them from?
Aren’t they? I got them a while ago at Amazon – let me know if you have trouble finding them!
Would you know if there is a sub for the coconut oil for this recipe?
Yes! You can use any oil you want – jojoba, almond, even olive oil! I like coconut oil in my scrubs because you can get it to a somewhat solidified state, which makes the scrub feel less oily or “liquidy” – but the beauty of this recipe is that you can adjust quantities as you go. So if you use a different oil start with less and as you mix the ingredients you can add more until you get a consistency that you like!
