You are going to LOVE these facial steam tabs – they are SO pampering!

I am not much for facials – if I’m going to spend the time and money at a spa I’m headed straight for the massage table. That said, I know the value of a good facial, and though I take very good care of my skin you can’t beat that deep clean that you get during a professional treatment. I honestly just don’t have the patience and don’t find it overly relaxing.

What I DO love is when the aesthetician drapes that piping hot towel over my face. HEAVEN. So when I came across this easy recipe for facial steam tabs – and realized I could recreate that lovely feeling at home? Yes, please!

This is a very easy and VERY adaptable recipe – as you’ve seen in my toner, serum and face mask posts you can tweak the oils (and in this case, the herbs too!) to your own preference. I personally love the combo of Oregano and Eucalyptus oils here:

Oregano essential oil – one of the most power-packed oils around! Filled with nutrients, oregano oil enhances skin tone, reduces the appearance of fine lines and addresses blemishes too. It is loaded with Vitamins A, C, E and K and with regular use can enhance your skin’s natural luminosity.

Eucalyptus essential oil – this oil is another skin must-have, thanks to its antibacterial, moisturizing and anti-inflammatory properties. By combining the oil in the steam tab with deep inhalation you get the added benefits of tackling all kinds of sinus and congestion issues too!
