peppermint foot scrub

you “may” want to make a double batch of this peppermint foot scrub so you can keep some!

With Mother’s Day around the corner I thought it would be fun to share a DIY that would also make a lovely gift!

Warm weather is approaching, which means sandals, flip flops and bare feet. And after a long winter those feet could use some pampering!

If you’re a follower here you know I love a good scrub and this one is perfect for getting those heels and toes into tip top shape – while enjoying some pampering at the same time!

This scrub is a little different than ones I’ve shared in the past – the addition of oil and honey makes it more of a “mask”, versus one you’d work in and wash right off.

Because this recipe uses mostly ingredients that are commonly found in the kitchen I like to gift this with a pair of cute towels (see instructions, below) and a bottle of peppermint. Level it up even more with a jar of whipped body butter to use afterward!

This would make a lovely end-of-the-year teacher gift too, so stock up on those jars and towels so you’re all set for June!

Peppermint Foot Scrub
1/2 cup sugar (granulated, raw or brown sugar all work!)
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 heaping tablespoon honey
2 tablespoons olive oil
15 drops Peppermint essential oil
small wide-mouth jar
2 small hand towels

Mix all of the ingredients till well combined; transfer to your jar.

To use, spread the scrub all over your feet, concentrating on heels. Soak the towels in very hot water; wring them out and wrap your feet for 5 minutes. Work the scrub in, rinse well and finish with your favorite body lotion or body butter.
