4-ingredient lemon lip scrub is “almost” good enough to eat!

For some reason, although my arms and legs get super dry in the winter, my lips need the most help come summer. I do try to drink water throughout the day but I still struggle with those pesky chapped lips.

And while I’ve made my share of body scrubs – lavender, rose, grapefruit and orange – I’ve never made one just for lips!

To the rescue!

This lemony lip scrub is SO easy – and you only need four ingredients:

Almond oil (or any oil you like)

Lemon essential oil

I made up a big batch to give to friends but the basic recipe scales up or down beautifully.

End of school is looming (even earlier for us this year due to the quarantine), and this would make a lovely teacher/coach/tutor gift – I’ve linked to all the items you need below!

All you need is a tiny bit, and be sure to follow with a lip balm or moisturizer.

Lemon Lip Scrub

1 tablespoon sweet almond oil
1 tablespoon honey
1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
15 drops lemon essential oil

Combine the oil, honey and sugar in a small bowl – mix thoroughly. Add the lemon oil and mix again. Transfer to an airtight jar and store at room temperature.

Sheri this is just what I need! My lips have been so dry lately due to wearing a mask all day at work. What a perfect little gift to give to all my coworkers.
    Thanks for sharing

This is such a great idea! Two quick questions: Can you use Sugar in the Raw (turbino sugar) instead of granulated sugar? And if I wanted to make a big batch for friends, do you have the quantities you used to make say 8 jars? Thanks!

Thank you! You could use sugar in the raw – it might feel a little rougher so maybe do a tiny sample first to try. I believe I doubled the recipe and got more than enough for 8 jars like the ones I show in the post!
