favor-“ette”: a tahini tip

i stumbled on the perfect method for dealing with those cans of tahini!

A happy accident occurred recently and I had to share it!

If you’re a regular reader here you know about my love love love of tahini. And if you’re a long-time reader you may recall a tip I shared a while back about how to deal with ingredients that separate in the can – almond butter, natural peanut butter and………tahini.

And though that tip works well it does require a bit of clean up. No biggie.

But I recently brought home a new can of tahini and accidentally put it away upside down. When I grabbed it to use in a recipe I decided to open up that bottom end. And lo and behold the solids had worked their way to the “top” (now the bottom), and mixed with the oil so that I only needed to give it a quick stir – right in the can – to blend.

I was unreasonably excited about this but these are the things I get excited about. And this is how I exclusively store my pesky jars and cans!

Now go make all the tahini things:

Almond Flour Cookies
Date Cookies
Shortbread
Oatmeal Cookies
Brownies
Popsicles (also these!)
