Rosemary oil needs only two ingredients and five minutes, for a lovely and easy holiday gift!

I recently had the very good fortune of working with an online gourmet shop, and received a bunch of their beautiful products to use. In the mix was a bottle of the most delicious olive oil, which inspired me to make this fast and easy gift that can be assembled in about 5 minutes!

Making flavored oil is as easy as boiling water. Simply heat the oil with a few sprigs of fresh rosemary, let it cool and decant into a pretty bottle.

It’s that simple!

Add a tag if you like, and your homemade gift is ready to give. You can use it just like regular olive oil, but I love it most in salad dressings, over roasted veggies or for dipping bread.

Infused oil should be stored in the fridge and will keep for two months – it will turn cloudy when refrigerated, but returns to its original color at room temperature.

from Epicurious

1 cup olive oil
3 sprigs fresh rosemary, trimmed if needed to fit the height of your bottle

Combine the oil and rosemary in a small saucepan. Cook over low heat until a thermometer reaches 180 degrees (about 5 minutes). Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature. Transfer the rosemary to an 8-ounce bottle, then add the oil. Seal and refrigerate for up to one month.
