favor-“ette”: an ice cube tip

Here’s a good one.

As you know, I’m not very fond of fruit. So when a recipe calls for say, some blueberries, I will be unlikely to eat whatever I don’t use.

As you also know, I’m VERY fond of freezing that leftover fruit for future recipes.

But I still wind up with too many bags of random fruit that just beg to be used.

I was already a fan of flavored waters – what about flavored ice cubes??

What ABOUT, indeed.

I’ll admit, I went a little crazy here, pulling out all the bags and snipping all the herbs. But can you blame me?

I mean, HOW PRETTY ARE THESE????

And of course, the sky’s the limit. While I used basil/cucumber,

mixed berries,

and citrus/mint,

you do you. Watermelon. Ginger. Pineapple. It’s all good.

As a bourbon lover I own a few of these large cube trays, but any tray you have will work.

I love when a dead-simple idea looks way more extra than it is to actually execute – don’t you?
