So what do you do when you’re invited to a last-minute 4th of July potluck and you STILL DON’T HAVE A KITCHEN?????
You panic.
JK.
Okay, you DO panic, but then you get it together and make bark.
I mean….there is nothing quicker, easier or kinder-to-the-kitchenless-cook.
What do you need? Some candy melts and sprinkles.
Mike was kind enough to dig up the boxes that held both and I literally whipped this together in about 10 minutes.
The proportions? Up to you – I’ve included the “recipe” below if you’d like..
Seriously can NOT wait for this kitchen to be done.
Have a happy and safe 4th you guys!
3 cups white candy melts
1 cup each red and blue candy melts
assorted sprinkles and sanding sugar
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In the top half of a double boiler set over barely simmering water, melt the white candy melts till smooth. Spread evenly onto your prepared baking sheet.
Repeat with red and blue candy melts. Use a spoon to dollop the red and blue melts on top of the white, then swirl using a skewer or thin knife. Rap the baking sheet on a worksurface a few times to level, then top with your sprinkles and sugar.
Refrigerate till set, then break into pieces.
