sharing my favorite, must-have energy “essentials”!
SO excited to be sharing my energy “essentials” with you all today!
Way back when I started using essential oils I had one goal – to feel better. I had spent YEARS off-and-on battling what felt like a perpetual “meh” feeling. Like, not sick enough to stay in bed, but sick enough to feel like crap. And often, sick enough to head to my doctor or the ENT. Always for nothing (I should have bought a tee shirt that said “rest and fluids”).
Basically? I was desperate. Desperate enough to try these weirdo oils that I had ZERO faith would help.
I bought THIS kit and started putting a drop of Thieves in my coffee each morning. Literally. That’s all I did.
And you know the rest:
*I’ve not been to the doc (other than for my annual exam) or the ENT since.
*I’ve had less than a handful of headaches (unlike the 3 – 5 weekly I previously had), and when I get one a drop of peppermint on each temple crushes it (I know, these weirdo oils – they WORK). I’ve not taken an Advil or Tylenol in years.
*And I slowly started ditching all of the cleaners and household products in my home for plant-based alternatives, while slowly making my way through that kit and discovering that these oils were not weird at all, but could actually help me with so (SO) many things.
Today I’m going to focus on some struggles we can all relate to – namely, energy, focus and concentration.
And there’s an oil (or four!) for that! So let’s get to it!
Pre-Workout Roller
I LOVE this blend before working out, or any time I need to “wake up”. Peppermint and Raven are both amazing oils on their own but together they are a dynamic duo:
Peppermint – improves focus and concentration, while providing a quick boost of energy
Raven – THE respiratory support oil (I actually keep this one in the shower for times when I’m congested), I find a BIG difference in my workout after using this.
Simply place 10 drops of each in a roller bottle; add a carrier oil* and roll on the back of your neck!
Post-Workout Roller
AKA, Post-Zoom/Gardening/GazillionHoursAtTheComputer Roller. I discovered Panaway in my starter kit and have loved it ever since for the sometimes painful arthritis I experience in my hands. But Panaway is THE BEST on any achy joints or muscles. And Copaiba? I call it the “gentle giant” because it’s a gentle oil with incredible prowess. Its anti-inflammatory properties make it a must-have for relieving swollen joints, arthritis pain and muscle aches and soreness. But it’s also considered a “magnifier” oil – actually amplifying the benefits of any oils it’s combined with.
To make the roller place 10 drops of Panaway and Copaiba in a roller bottle and top with a carrier oil*. Roll anywhere you need relief.
And I just wanted to mention two more loves for all things energy, focus and concentration:
Ningxia Red
If you follow me on social then you KNOW how much I love my Ningxia. You get 2 packets in the starter kit so I was able to sample this right away. And I experienced a notable increase in my energy the very first time. So what is Ningxia Red?
It’s an antioxidant supplement drink filled with superfoods and essential oils. It supports immune and liver function, eye health and energy levels. It’s an amazing source of nutrients that provide energy and strength without harmful stimulants. So while I will never give up my daily iced coffee I often need an additional “boost”, and Ningxia is what I turn to every day.
Super B
I literally call this the “energizer bunny” supplement. B vitamins are essential to our health and well-being, but aren’t stored in our bodies – so have to be replenished daily. Super B remarkably contains ALL 8 energy-boosting B vitamins (along with important minerals and folate). I take 2 every single morning.
Would you like a sample to try? A roller? A packet of Ningxia? I’d love to send you one! E-mail me at sheri@sherisilver.com and let me know!
*So what’s a “carrier oil”? It’s any oil that you add to an essential oil roller blend. Popular choices are fractionated coconut, jojoba and sweet almond. Despite the name, essential oils are not “oily” – in fact, they absorb into the skin immediately. So to help them spread where you want you need a fatty oil to “carry” the essential oils (and help them last longer).
