halloween “in the house”: monster lollipops

i’m obsessed with these monster lollipops!

Jolly Ranchers are all you need to make these ADORABLE monster lollipops!

Like I said, I want quick and easy Halloween treats this year, and these are BOTH – and super cute too!

And yes,  you WILL need candy eyes (but I always have) and you WILL need lollipop sticks. BUT.

HOW CUTE ARE THESE????

And the combinations are endless. I truly had so much fun making them, and they are perfect for even the tiniest hands for helping.

Simply unwrap your Jolly Ranchers and arrange stacks of 3 on a parchment or Silpat-lined baking sheet. I recommend doing no more than 4 at a time as they will spread as they bake.

Bake in a low oven for 8 – 10 minutes, remove from oven and add your sticks and eyes. Let cool completely and VOILA!

I did mostly stacks of 3 candies, horizontally as shown in the picture. But toward the end I tried some other variations – angling the candies, placing the center candy vertically, etc. The good news is that – as they are MONSTERS – you can’t fail as they will all look adorable in the end.

You definitely want to let them cool completely before lifting them off the baking sheet (this won’t take long), and don’t use anything other than parchment or Silpat for easy removal.

You’ll also want to twirl the end of the stick in the melted candy before resting it on the sheet, so that the candy covers all sides of the stick, as shown. This will ensure that the pop stays securely attached!

Monster Lollipops

Jolly Rancher candies, unwrapped (you’ll need 3 candies for every pop)
candy eyeballs
lollipop sticks

Pre-heat the oven to 250 degrees; line baking sheets with parchment paper or Silpats. Place the unwrapped candies, in stacks of 3, on the prepared sheets (no more than 4 stacks per sheet).

Bake for 8 – 10 minutes, watching carefully after 8 minutes. As soon as the candies flatten out remove from the oven. Place a lollipop stick into the bottom of each pop, twirling it to coat with the melted candy before resting the stick on the baking sheet. Insert eyes as desired and let cool completely before removing.
