diy: happy garden spray!

happy garden spray = happiest plants ever!

This is one of my fave DIYs to date.

Happy Garden Spray l sherisilver.com

I have a LONG history of killing houseplants – and writing about it here. But over the past year I somehow acquired a few, and was determined – once and for all – to keep them alive.

I was pleasantly surprised to learn that you can use essential oils on plants, and in the garden in general. They can do everything from enriching the soil, to keeping pests away, or in this case to cleaning and fortifying the leaves!

This is an easy one, requiring nothing more than mixing the oils in a spray bottle along with some Thieves cleaner (is there NOTHING this cleaner can’t do?) and water.

Now, part of my weekly plant care includes a generous spray of the leaves, and I swear these little guys have never been happier!

Check my stories today for a video showing how I make this spray; I’ll put it in a highlight if you miss it!

Happy Garden Spray

5 drops Oregano essential oil
5 drops Rosemary essential oil
5 drops Peppermint essential oil
5 drops Citronella essential oil
5 drops Clove essential oil
5 drops Cinnamon Bark essential oil
1 teaspoon Thieves household cleaner

Combine the oils and cleaner in a 16-ounce glass spray bottle. Fill the rest of the bottle with water and give a shake to blend. Shake before each use.
