For a long time I didn’t wear sneakers, except for running. I’m not a Converse girl, and I could never find a pair that was both stylish and worked well enough with my wardrobe to justify the purchase.
And then Madewell arrived.
I was an early adopter on-line, and practically catapulted myself to Soho when they opened their first New York store, about six years ago.
I’ve been a fan ever since, and particularly love the way they stylishly mix their in-house pieces with a carefully selected collection of other brands.
It was there that I discovered Bensimon sneakers. I was immediately smitten with the casual cool, oh-so-French look and vibe, and snatched up my very first pair.
I’m on my third pair now and they are my tried and true casual shoes that manage to look pulled-together-without-trying-too-hard every time.
These sneakers literally go with everything, but here are some of my favorite ways to wear them:

Hi Sheri, I didn’t get a chance to speak to you at Alt but just wanted to say I’m a huge fan of your site. I too am obsessed with Madewell and got those Bensimon shoes in two different colors at Madewell (blue and salmon).

I like the look of the Bensimon’s but living in the desert I’m more comfortable in Sandals. I do love sneakers but I only wear during workouts and travel. I’ve found Nike and New Balance to be my faves because of their cushion/support.
