One of the items on my life list is to do a major purge of my wardrobe (#36, if you’re interested). I know I’ve shared my clothing travails here before, and have even enlisted the help of a stellar wardrobe consultant to help me out.
But I’m still “tweaking”. And this season I want to get rid of everything that I no longer wear (I’m thinking of trying Poshmark – have any of you used this app?), and be more mindful of the purchases I make going forward. Ideally all new items will be versatile enough to dress up or down, and “wearable” in at least two full seasons.
In short, more “multi-taskers“.
The suede material makes them perfect for winter wear, but the color will let me bring them right into spring. The stacked heel is high enough to pair with a skirt or dress, but low enough for a more casual look (as well as making them super comfortable). And I love that the shaft comes up a little higher than most, giving them a nice clean finish when worn with jeans.
Here’s how I’m wearing them right now:
And here’s an example of how I’ll wear them into the spring:
Even better? They’re on sale right now! I tend to shy away from overly trendy pieces, preferring to invest in stylish yet classic items that will be relevant for many seasons to come.
I’d love your feedback on this post – would you like to see more like it in the future? Any clothing challenges that you’d like me to take on? Let me know!
