When the folks at Whisk Takers reached out to me, I was intrigued.

VERY intrigued (that name!).

Whisk Takers is a series of kits – complete with pre-measured ingredients and a step-by-step recipe – designed to remove all the trial and error from baking.

I loved this idea – setting up timid or inexperienced bakers for success! But could I authentically share this with you all? I mean, baking is my passion, and so for me to say these kits are great wouldn’t necessarily make a less confident baker feel like he/she would have similar results.

But then I realized that if these kits were indeed great – well, wouldn’t you want to know?

And – TBH – I was dying to try one, so I decided I’d simply do my best to follow the instructions precisely, without relying on any of my by-now-second-nature tricks and tips.

I ordered the S’mores Brownies, and here’s what I got:

I was already in love.

All I needed to add were these:

What a clever recipe – one bowl, no mixer, no bringing ingredients to room temperature.

And so many cool little extras – like the sprinkle of pink salt that went into the pan before the batter, and the “teddy” grahams that not only looked adorable but provided a nice crunch to offset all that chocolate-y marshmallow gooeyness.

And I did follow the instructions to the letter – with one exception. When it came to greasing the pan, I opted to line mine with parchment paper instead (I HATE cleaning pans).

And they came out perfectly.

And I have to (begrudgingly) admit – it was super fun for a change to NOT have to measure, to NOT have to use (and clean) a bunch of bowls and utensils, and to have a delicious batch of brownies baking away in the oven in less than 10 minutes.

This would be a great activity to do with kids – I mean, let’s face it, we love the “idea” of baking with the kiddos, but the reality often comes up short. Whisk Takers lets everyone get right to the fun part, with minimal mess/clean up. I also like this idea for someone who doesn’t bake very often. Ingredients are expensive, and these kits come with exactly what you need – no opened canister of baking powder wasting away in the back of a cupboard.

A few of these kits would make for a fun party activity (for big OR little guests), and I could also see this as a sweet college care package or hostess gift. And I’ve got a discount code to get you started! Simply enter the code silver10 to receive 10% off any purchase – any time!

I’d love to know if you try one!

Note: I was not compensated for this post. Whisk Takers sent me a kit in exchange for my honest review – all thoughts and comments are, as always, completely my own.
