plantable paper pots for earth day!

And you know if I’m sharing a craft with you, it will be super easy and perfect for the kiddos.

Earth Day is this Sunday and I love the idea of getting kids involved with gardening. It’s still a little cool here in New York but it’s the perfect time to start some seeds indoors.

These paper pots can be made from any kind of newspaper you have lying around. No other materials are needed, and the whole pot – paper, dirt and seedling – can go right into the ground when the weather warms up.

I looked at (and tried) a bunch of tutorials, and this one – from OvergrowTheUK – is the easiest to follow. Just be sure that your paper is twice as long as it is wide for the neatest result.
