handmade seed packets

Don’t be alarmed.

This is a ridiculously easy craft – as if I would ever post any other kind!

Noah “graduated” from pre-school today, and I wanted to make a little gift for him to give his classmates. As he is in both morning and afternoon sessions this meant making up about 30 gifts.

You already know that I’m not such a fan of “the goody bag“. And I was not looking to break the bank (or my back). I wanted something cute, easy, memorable and meaningful.

And since summer means gardening, and little hands need big seeds I immediately thought “sunflowers”.

I altered a printable I found over at Squirrelly Minds and created these little envelopes:

You can download the printable here.

And then with my newest love, Makr, I made some cute labels to pop on the outside!

I bought the paper here but you could use plain printer paper just as well (what can I say – me and kraft paper? We’re a thing…).

I cut and glued the envelopes over an episode or four of “Orange is the New Black” (are you watching too? Seriously, SO GOOD, right?), and Noah helped me put the stickers on and fill the envelopes. A little washi tape and they were ready to deliver!

These envelopes are just right for holding a few stickers, candies or tiny erasers. Use your copier to size it up a bit and it will be the perfect size for a gift card too.

So cute.A lot of touching but a blog and watching tv are good excuses for these kind of projects. And Noah had pride of sticker placement too.
ps. I too have a kraft paper ‘thing’ Sheri.

This is an amazing idea. You made it perfect actually I wanted to make this kind of packets but I didn’t have an idea about the material of the paper. I think now through this article I can make packets easily. Thanks!
