If you live in the New York area (or will be visiting this summer), I encourage you to check out the Peanuts Global Artist Collective. It’s a global initiative comprised of 7 murals in 7 countries, painted by a wide variety of acclaimed contemporary artists.
The murals are presented by Peanuts Worldwide, in collaboration with one of our most beloved institutions – the Children’s Museum of the Arts – and the Hudson Square Connection.
You can grab a map at the Children’s Museum or see it on the initiative’s website.
It was so much fun walking around downtown and trying to spot each mural. We each had our favorite. It’s always a win-win when we discover a free, fun and universally appealing activity to do in our city; let me know if you check it out!
A tip for this one – we walked right past it, not thinking to “look up”:
The New York City murals will be up through the middle of July, with more public works to follow in the fall.
And you can read about all of my favorite local spots on my Pinterest board!
