You know I love a good shortcut.
Whether it’s a can of biscuits, a box of cake mix or a package of fresh ravioli, ready-made ingredients are the cook’s and baker’s secret weapon for making great tasting meals and treats – in half the time, and with much less fuss.
Because “from scratch” is best, of course – but sometimes we don’t have the time or inclination to pull out every pot, pan and utensil in the kitchen.
Am I right?
Which is why I loved the challenge of creating a customized drink using Torani Real Cream Coffee Frappé Mix.
Torani Real Cream Coffee Frappé Mix is made with natural ingredients like pure cane sugar and real cream – with no preservatives. It’s easy to use (simply pour over ice and blend!), and has a rich, velvety texture – just liked you’d get at your favorite coffee shop!
Even better, when you combine it with Torani Syrups and Sauces, the flavor possibilities are endless!
I took a cue from the coffee flavor and decided to make a tiramisu shake!
I headed to Walmart to pick up my ingredients – right now, and through 11/24/17 you can save $2 on one (1) Real Cream Frappé Mix at Walmart (while supplies last)!
I incorporated all of the tiramisu ingredients – marscapone cheese, lady fingers and espresso – along with my Torani Real Cream Coffee Frappé Mix and a “generous” amount of vanilla ice cream, to create a thick and creamy shake that was positively delicious!
And it was as easy as pushing the button on my blender.
It was fun to take a traditional dessert and serve it up in a totally new way, and I could imagine so many different frappes and shakes that you could whip up. How about “S’mores”? “Cookies and Cream”? “Java Chip”?
What flavor will you make?
2 cups ice
5 ounces Torani Real Cream Coffee Frappé Mix
2 tablespoons marscapone cheese
2 ladyfingers, plus additional for garnish
1 teaspoon espresso powder
2 tablepsoons Torani Caramel Sauce
2 tablespoons Torani Vanilla Syrup
4 scoops vanilla ice cream
1/2 cup heavy cream
cinnamon
Place ice in a blender; add Torani Real Cream Coffee Frappé Mix, marscapone, 2 ladyfingers, espresso powder, Torani Caramel Sauce and Torani Vanilla Syrup. Blend until smooth. Add ice cream and blend again.
Whip cream till soft peaks form; transfer to a pastry bag fitted with a fluted tip if desired.
Divide shake between glasses; top with whipped cream and garnish with cinnamon and additional ladyfingers.
