favor-“ette”: waffle iron leftover pizza

Yep.

So it’s been like a petri dish at Casa Silver these last few weeks – we just keep growing and recycling every virus, etc., that is flying around out there. Fun.

So, pizza.

And leftover pizza.

Which, I think we can all agree, is fine and dandy all on its own – whether straight from the fridge or re-heated in the toaster oven.

But I recently gave it a run under my trusty waffle iron and………….whoa, nelly.

This *may* be my very favorite hack yet (yes friends, even more than this. or even this.).

This is especially heaven-sent for those of you who love those crispy, caramelized bits of melted cheese – this method basically guarantees it.

Simply pre-heat your iron and fold the tip of the pizza slice over to one corner of the crust, like this:

Place it in the heated iron and lower the top – as the pizza heats up continue to lower the top until it’s closed. Cook till golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.

Sheri Silver’s Waffle Iron Miracle cookbook needs to come out. Because I am all about the previous ones and now you have a book with this pizza one. Awesome!

SOOOO good. And goes perfectly with a Diet Coke. Or a donut. 😉
