As you can imagine, I read a lot of blogs. A LOT.
It is pretty much impossible to keep up with the number of sites – both new and old – that come across my screen each week, and it can feel overwhelming much of the time. There is SO MUCH good stuff out there!
Yet there are certain blogs that keep me coming back time and time again.
Joy Creation is one of those blogs.

Joy Creation truly captures the voice and personality of the blogger. Lisa Sperling has a love for “design, photography, handmade art and all the pretty things that make life beautiful.” And Joy Creation is a place to turn to for all of those things.
The site design is clean and spare, yet warm and inviting too. And Lisa’s “voice” comes through in just the same way. She clearly has a discerning and tasteful eye for design, but delivers each post with an open and friendly vibe that just makes you feel good.
I’ve written before about the challenge of writing in your true voice – one of the seemingly easiest, yet truly most challenging tasks as a blogger. When someone tells me that reading my blog makes her feel as if I’m sitting there chatting with her, that’s a bigger compliment than on my baking, photography or gardening tips.
And that’s one of my favorite things about Joy Creation. Lisa really engages, and makes you feel as though your presence and participation are truly meaningful to her.
I rarely miss a post of Lisa’s, but here are three great places to start:
Her curated post on unique hotels – “Extraordinary Escapes” – from around the world.
A post about focusing that, although written about the blogging process, could apply to almost any pursuit (I actually printed this post out, I found it so helpful).
Lisa’s impeccable taste and gift for scouting out gems are evident in this piece about artist Laurie Poast.
Lisa also does several great features – Madison Stroll, Featured Artist and my favorite, Weekly Joy Feed.
Time spent at Joy Creation is time well-spent – it’s a thoughtful, pretty and warm place and I promise you will love Lisa as much as I do!
Wondering what the heck “blove” is?
