Warning: Do NOT visit this site unless you have time.
Like, hours and hours of time. Trust me here. You THINK you’ll just browse around, look at a few images, maybe “pin” a couple of others.
Uh – no.
It is absolutely impossible to enter the world of Design Seeds without coming up for air – glassy-eyed – hours later. And is it any wonder?
Design Seeds is the creation of the wonderfully talented and lovely Jessica Colaluca. A life-long love of color – combined with years spent as an industrial designer and color specialist – has culminated in this beautiful, inspirational and imaginative site.
So what, exactly IS Design Seeds?
Simply put, it’s a site devoted to color. Jessica takes images she loves and “distills” the colors into palettes that accompany the image. I was impressed to learn that Jessica purchases the copyrights for every image she uses on her site (as opposed to simply just re-posting them), subsidizing her expenses through the sale of beautifully curated books (which – just saying – would make a fabulous and unexpected gift).
Though I usually pick three of my favorite posts for “blove”, today I’ll finish with three of my favorite palettes – and a riff on my blog:
Donuts
Dresses
and Dirt
And one more, just because I think it may be my very favorite:

Clearly I could go on and on – and so will you.
Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
Take a look at Delish Magazine’s wonderful interview for more on Jessica.
Wondering what the heck “blove” is?
