SO excited to be sharing these delicious pistachio crisps with you today!

One of my fave shortcut ingredients are wonton wrappers. They are so convenient and adaptable, and I’ve shared many a recipe using them over the years (check here, here and HERE). And I’ve got a good one coming up soon!

But today is Monday, so I’m sharing a recipe that incorporates essential oils. And you’re gonna love it.

wonton wrappers essential oils and bowl of pistachios

These addictive little pistachio crisps are made by sprinkling wonton wrappers with a sweet-salty-citrusy blend of sugar, salt and essential oils.

Bake and serve!

These are yummy with drinks, obviously, but are also lovely served with your fave soup or salad.

Let me know if you make ’em, and tag me on Instagram @sherisilver if you do!

Pistachio Crisps
adapted from Martha Stewart Living

12 wonton wrappers, cut in half diagonally
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
4 drops Lemon essential oil
4 drops Lime essential oil
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons finely chopped pistachios (about 1 ounce)

Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (I LOVE these pre-cut sheets).

Place the cut wrappers, spaced slightly apart, on your prepared sheet.

In a small bowl mix the sugar, salt and essential oils till well combined; set aside.

Brush each of the wrappers with some of the olive oil. Sprinkle with the sugar-salt mixture, followed by the chopped pistachios.

Bake until crisp and lightly golden, about 6 – 8 minutes. Watch very carefully toward the end of the baking time as they go from golden to burnt in less than a minute. Cool on a wire rack.

Is there a specific type of sugar or salt you used?

I use granulated sugar and kosher salt but this is one of those recipes that you could easily make substitutions with!
